“The Festive Feast”

The Austin City Limits Music Festival is one that cannot be missed at any cost. It is the only one, which brings together more than a 100 bands on everything from classics to latest hip-hops and everything in between. The festival is organized during the month of September, every year.

The passes for this festival include special bands that allow people to leave and re-enter the premises at their will. However, anything required (food, water, liquor etc) can be purchased from inside stalls only. Also, parking is at the owner’s risk. Though there is ample space, vehicle owners need to carry their own locks.

But the three days have much more to offer. Austin is a tourist’s attraction. It has several locations that may be viewed while attending the festival. Also, the bands chill-out at the local pubs and who knows, you may catch hold of them at any place and get into talking with them.

Last season, 2007 saw the following bands performing at the festival: Spoon, Indigo Girls, Crowded House, Augustana, Peter Bjorn and John, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Cold War Kids, Yo La Tengo, Blonde Redhead, Manchester Orchestra, Mario Matteoli, The Sippy Cups, Daddy A Go Go, Farmer Jason, Q Brothers, Jambo, and The Jellydots among others.

The dates for the next season are September 26-28th, 2008.
