The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival or Coachella, a three-day music and arts festival features many genres of music including alternative rock, hip-hop, and sculptural art.
The venue is the Empire Polo Fields, Indio, California. Several stages/tents are set-up throughout the grounds, each of which plays non-stop live music. The ground of Coachella Music Festival is mostly sand,, as the venue is part of Colorado Desert. The daytime temperature is considerably high and hence precautions are recommended. But, it is a cool place in the night-time.
Initially, many of the Coachella Music Festivals were either one or two day festivals; often running into losses due to lack of proper organizers. From 2007 onwards, it has been extended to three days. This festival provides you with different kinds of music as well as glimpses of sculpture and other traditional arts.
The festival gained momentum from 2003 when Red Hot Chili Peppers appeared live on the stage. Ever since, this festival has seen several big bands performing. One of the major features of this festival is that it has offered a stage for several re-unions, such as those of the Pixies, Radiohead and, Kraftwerk.
Apart from the music and classical theatre, this festival also offers a stage for art and sculptures. The only drawback that this festival faces is its location and thereby its temperature. Butt even then, these factors have been unable to stop the stars as well as the people from attending the festival each year.
